Kevin Krost is a Statistician on the ELPA21 team within CRESST. He is a graduate from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University with a Ph.D. in Educational Research and Evaluation, with an emphasis on psychometrics. His expertise is in operational psychometrics, fairness issues, English learner assessment, and large-scale data analysis. He has used and developed explanatory item response models in conjunction with mixed methods to evaluate differential item functioning and item bias. Kevin has been learning Mandarin for several years and is a beginner in speaking, reading, and listening.
